Trauma-Bonding Workshop
On January 19th, 2026, we hosted an introductory educational Zoom workshop on Trauma Bonding to help parents, caregivers, and community members better understand the emotional and psychological dynamics of trauma bonding. The workshop explored what trauma bonding is and what it is not. We discussed how trauma bonds form, why they can be difficult to break, and what the healing process can look like. Please check our reviews. We hope to see you at our next workshop!
Understanding Child Development Workshop
On August 9th, 2025, we hosted "Understanding Child Development Workshop". This workshop explored child development from a physical, emotional, cognitive, and moral develop of children from birth to six years. Participants found this workshop informative and useful. One parent stated, "I didn't realize how my culture influenced how I parent".
Mothers Speak Out on Zoom
On May 31st, 2025, we hosted " Mothers Speak Out" on Zoom. The meeting was designed for expectant and experienced moms to share their ideas and concerns about the journey of motherhood. We also conducted a needs assessment and utilized ideas shared to create future workshops. Thank you to all of the mothers who came to the event and gave us amazing feedback.

Community Engagement
We are a new organization, and our plan is to get to know our community! We are currently collaborating with organizations that will partner with us. Our desire is to bridge any gap or overflow that exists in our partners already established organizations. We will support them by conducting educational workshops and provide therapeutic services to their clients when needed.
This holiday season, we donated to a local shelter in Yonkers. Thank you to Wegmans for the generous donation of diapers. This experience was incredibly meaningful to Mothers United and Empowered, Inc. and allowed us to directly support families in need and see the tangible impact of our efforts on mothers and children in the community.

Fundraising Events and Community Support
We are registered with Benevity.com, a platform used by many corporate sponsors. If your organization is part of this group, please take a look! We have two initiatives posted: Our Thrive Together: Healing through Gifts and Adopt a Therapist, for which you may want to consider donating. We appreciate your generosity.
As we become visible in our community, our goal is to build relationships and connect with other organizations by collaborating, and offer services such as trauma focussed therapeutic services we will launch in the winter.
